With just a few more days to go for the highly anticipated IPL series of matches, here’s a look at what to expect from the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians scheduled to be held on March 28 2019.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
After having had a devastating campaign last season, Skipper Virat Kohli’s men will have to rise up to the occasion this season. A win against Mumbai Indians in the opponent’s home ground would keep their confidence on the higher note. Although it’s a fact that the team has the best batting line-up, they are continuously failing in their bowling department.
Marcus Stoinis is back into the side to start his career. He will be opening along with Parthiv Patel. Kohli’s men will be working more on their bowling department. Shimron Hetmyer and Shivam Dube shall strengthen the middle order of the team. The bowling attack has always been an issue for Kohli’s men. Hope they work on that front. Umesh Yadav and Siraj are expected to share the new ball.
Probable XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore
Virat Kohli (C), Parthiv Patel(WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Colin de Grandhomme, Yuzvendar Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Washington Sundar, Tim Southee, and Murugan Ashwin
Rohit Sharma will be leading Mumbai Indians. They are having a huge bunch of young enthusiastic players in their team. They are all motivated well for this season. They have a strong batting line-up with a combination of four batsmen, four all-rounders, two spinners and two seamers.
Having lost against Delhi Capitals twice last season, the skipper knows that he needs to come back stronger this season. Sharma’s boys are hitting the nets hard. Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya will take responsibilities with both the ball and the bat. Kieron Pollard will be playing in a floater. Hope he gets back in form this season. As he was not up to his potential in the last season, Jaspreet Bumrah and Malinga will be sharing the new ball. Yuvraj Singh is back in the squad.
Probable XI for Mumbai Indians
Rohit Sharma(C), Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Yuvraj Singh, Jaspirth Bumrah, Malinga, Mayank Markande, Mitchell McClenaghan and Ben Cutting
Well, the prediction depends upon the toss. If RCB is bowling first, they will have more chances to win. RCB are better chasers than Mumbai Indians. If Mumbai Indians opt to bowl first, they are more in the game.
