It will be important to see the role of Krunal Pandya as an allrounder in the team for India.
Preview and Prediction
If the past matches of both these teams are to be considered, India has lost the matches most of the times. West Indies team is enjoying its dominance in the shorter format of cricket and the players are expected to give powerful performance. Since Lucknow is a new stadium and this match is the first international match that is being held there, the actual pitch analysis will be clear only during the pre-match show. Though it is a home ground for India, they have not yet played in this stadium. This brings both the teams at par in this aspect. Indian squad has a variety this time as compared to the faces that were seen in the past encounters between the two teams.
Thus, these new faces are expected to do good and bring the victory in the hands of India. Though West Indies apparently seem to be at a better position than team India, it will all depend on the mindset with which they play the game and which team wins the first T20. Also, it will largely depend on the playing XI and how well they are able to adapt themselves with the need of the shorter format of the game.
